The Silver Coast is famous for some of the best beaches in Europe, with many being awarded with the blue flag.
Here are some of the best local beaches just a short drive away.
Foz do Arelho
The Foz do Arelho beach, next to the amazing Óbidos Lagoon, is a place where nature has offered us its wonderful therapeutic qualities and an extensive sandy area, an election place for surfers, whilst the calm and relaxing waters of the lagoon are a delight for the children.
Nazare
Looking out over the beach at Nazaré from the high cliffs of Sitio on the northern end of the beach. The beach is famous for it's large powerful waves and long stretches of golden sand.
Peniche
Peniche is known for its long windy beaches, sought for recreational activities and sports such as surfing, windsurfing and bodyboarding.
